What decorative nodes are for
Decorative nodes are non-structural canvas elements. They are useful for labels, image references, moodboards, examples, explanations, and grouping. They help you communicate meaning around the tree without turning every idea into a progression node.
Text and image modes
A decorative node can work like a note card or a visual card. You can write directly into the node, switch it into image mode, upload or paste an image, crop it, and place it around the canvas as reference material.
Movement, locking, and layering
Decor items are selection-first for movement so the canvas is easier to pan. You can lock a decorative node to prevent accidental dragging and use front/back layering controls to manage overlap when building more visual canvases.
